UNAIR NEWS – The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law (BEM FH) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has officially entered a new phase. Aditya Sukisno Putra leads BEM FH UNAIR for the 2026 period as president, alongside Yasemin Nur Sefika as vice president. Aditya and Yasemin are ready to open a new chapter in their leadership during this period.

Entering this new administration period, Putra and Sefika introduced the Aksa Raya Cabinet as the identity of their cabinet. They chose this name because they have a vision of a grand goal that they aim to realize during one period of administration. The naming also reflects the spirit of BEM FH toward a more dynamic and progressive organizational development.

Grand vision and acceleration phase

Putra explained that the name Aksa Raya carries a strong philosophy. The word aksa means vision or axis, while raya means grand. These meanings are expected to become the main foundation of the Aksa Raya Cabinet, reflecting the spirit of the cabinet during one period of administration. “We believe that this is the time to enter an acceleration phase, where we have many visions and big dreams that we want to realize through BEM,” he stated.

According to Putra, after various major changes established by the previous cabinet, BEM FH is now entering an acceleration phase that focuses on continuing the foundation of the previous administration. Through this phase, the cabinet aims to realize more program ideas that can provide broader impact for students. In addition, the Aksa Raya Cabinet carries a core value called the circle of collaboration. This value strengthens networks among individuals and divisions to create a more inclusive cabinet.

Strengthening major programs and organizational system

As the main vision for this year’s administration, the Aksa Raya Cabinet seeks to strengthen the quality of work programs while organizing the BEM FH system in a more structured manner. Putra assessed that in the previous period, BEM had already implemented many programs well. However, major programs still require greater attention as they represent the face of the organization at the faculty level.

Therefore, in this period, every project officer who will lead major programs will go through a fit and proper test process to ensure the main concept and strategy of the programs from the beginning. “This year, we want to focus more on major programs, as they represent the face of BEM. Therefore, every project officer leading major programs will go through a fit and proper test process so that the concept is clear from the start,” Putra explained.

In addition to work programs, the Aksa Raya Cabinet also focuses on improving the organizational system, particularly in financial management. Through a more structured funding mechanism, BEM FH expects program implementation to run more steadily and provide a sense of security for those involved. “We also want to improve the financial management mechanism so that members who run programs do not worry about potential losses,” he added.
