UNAIR NEWSUniversitas Airlangga (UNAIR) recently held another full professorship inauguration, marking a significant academic milestone. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Garuda Mukti Hall on the fifth floor of UNAIR’s Management Office at the MERR-C Campus. The event was presided by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, MT, Ak, CA.

In his speech, Prof. Nasih congratulated the newly appointed professors and emphasized the significance of the occasion. He described the inauguration—preceded by academic orations from the professors—as a scholarly gathering dedicated to intellectual discourse. “A professorship inauguration serves as a distinguished academic forum, fostering the dissemination and advancement of knowledge. It is fitting to call it a gathering of great significance, as it enables the exchange of diverse perspectives and expertise,” he stated.

Prof. Nasih expressed his deep appreciation for the newly appointed professors, recognizing the rigorous path they had taken to attain the highest academic rank. “Reaching this position is not an overnight achievement; it requires perseverance, careful planning, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence. Nothing happens instantly unless granted by divine will,” he asserted.

Closing his remarks, Prof. Nasih expressed his hope for a continued increase in the number of UNAIR professors. “We hope to see more individuals stepping into professorship, dedicated to fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, wherever they may be,” he concluded.
