UNAIR NEWS – Skin diseases in the elderly are often not recorded and do not become complaints of patients. Neglected skin disease will be a problem in reducing the patient’s quality of life. The global situation shows that the biggest problem for elderly individuals is degenerative diseases, health conditions that cause tissues or organs to experience an aging process from time to time. Increasing age will cause physiological functions to decrease due to degenerative processes (aging), which have an impact on changes in physical, cognitive, feelings and social life. By 2050, it is estimated that around 75% of elderly people with degenerative diseases will be unable to move and have to stay at home.
