UNAIR NEWS – A young doctor from Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Dr Arif Nur Muhammad Ansori SSi Msi, has developed an immunotherapeutic vaccine based on dendritic cells. His research was presented in a doctoral program dissertation defense exam on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

This vaccine offers some benefits such as being halal certified, responding faster by human immunity, do not require adjuvant, having no resistance from the body, and having minimum side effects.

The research started when COVID-19 first entered the country in March 2020. Arif and his team from Professor Nidom Foundation conducted an analysis on Covid-19 virus. His dissertation research was focused on protein S or spike.

The research was also published in Scopus-indexed scientific journals in 2020 and 2021, both Q2 and Q1 journals. Arif will continue the development of the vaccine.
