UNAIR NEWSUniversitas Airlangga (UNAIR) reinforced its global presence through participation in the EduTech Solution Summit 2025, part of the Higher Education Partnerships Conference (HEPCON) 2025. The event, organized by the Indonesian State University Rectors Council (MRPTNI) in collaboration with MSW Global, took place at The Westin, Nusa Dua, Bali, on Friday–Saturday (Sept. 12–13, 2025).

University Secretary Prof. Dr. Dwi Setyawan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt., welcomed the participation. “The involvement of UNAIR faculty in this international forum is tangible proof of the university’s commitment to strengthening academic capacity and raising global recognition. We fully support strategic initiatives that leverage educational technology to accelerate higher education’s digital transformation,” he said.

In the summit, Yutika Amelia Effendi, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D., lecturer in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at FTMM UNAIR, represented the university and served as a panelist in a session titled EdTech Procurement and Implementation: Making Smart Investments.

The panel explored how universities and stakeholders can make informed, sustainable decisions when procuring educational technology (EdTech). As EdTech becomes essential to supporting learning, research, and community engagement, technology choices must align closely with each institution’s educational mission.

In her remarks, Effendi shared UNAIR’s experience in developing and implementing EdTech. She underscored the importance of robust IT planning as the foundation not only for education, but also for research, community service, and boosting the university’s international standing.

“UNAIR has already developed the UNAIR Satu Data system, ensuring performance targets are data-driven to achieve progress at both national and international levels,” said the former UNAIR E-Learning Captain (2019–2020).

She also highlighted that UNAIR is advancing the Faculty 4.0: Empowering Lecturers for Digital-First Teaching initiative. As part of this effort, the university evaluates EdTech solutions based on key factors: alignment with the institutional vision and curriculum to support Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) and Outcome-Based Education (OBE); data security and regulatory compliance to protect student and faculty information.

It has seamless integration with the Hebat e-Learning Learning Management System (LMS); ease of use for faculty and students; and scalability and reliability to serve thousands of users without sacrificing quality.

UNAIR’s involvement also underscored its commitment to remaining active in international networks and contributing to the dialogue on global education strategies. “I am proud to represent Universitas Airlangga in this international forum—sharing experiences while learning from education leaders worldwide, whether academics, professionals, or technology providers. The goal is to make EdTech procurement smarter, more sustainable, and impactful for the future of higher education,” Effendi said.

The EduTech Solution Summit 2025 brought together institutions, educators, and technology providers to collectively shape a more inclusive and sustainable future for educational technology adoption.
