Biography
Prof. Ir. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah, M.Si., Ph.D. is an academic and researcher specializing in fisheries and marine sciences. He currently serves as Vice Rector for Academic, Student, and Alumni Affairs Universitas Airlangga (2025–2030). He completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees at Universitas Brawijaya and earned his doctoral degree from Nagasaki University, Japan, graduating with the highest honors. His research focuses on marine biotechnology, seafood waste management, and the development of downstream products based on the Blue Economy. He has received various prestigious research grants, including funding from LPDP, Kedaireka, and the Airlangga Research Fund.
Active in professional organizations, Prof. Alamsjah also serves as Chair of ASEAN-FEN (2025–2026) and Vice Chair of the ISPIKANI East Java Professional Council. Beyond academia, he is actively involved in empowering coastal communities through appropriate technology innovations, making him a key figure in advancing applied research and the sustainable management of Indonesia’s marine resources.
