Warm Welcome for 57th KKN BBM Nglajang Village, Bojonegoro

UNAIR NEWS – More than 2,000 students of Universitas Airlangga were sent to the 57th KKN BBM in various regions throughout East Java. The departure was divided into three waves.

The first was for Nganjuk, Kediri, Probolinggo and Bojonegoro at 06.00. Second was at 08.00 for Gresik and Lamongan. Third, for Jember and Banyuwangi at 20.00.

Upon arriving at the assigned village, each KKN group was welcomed in various ways by the village officials. For example, in Nglajang Village, the KKN team was welcomed with an introduction on Thursday, January 4.

“When you are in the village, the responsibility is in our hands. For all difficulties and obstacles, both regarding the procurement of programs and facilities that we provide, please communicated, “said Village Head Nglajang Syapi’i during his speech.

After the speech, Syapi’i introduced all the village officials working in the village office, from the head of financial affairs (Kaur) and government to the village secretary. The students also introduced themselves and their department. Different department backgrounds make the team’s work programs diverse.

Syapi’i said the problems that occur now such as the problem on mosquitoes so dengue fever dissemination is needed.

Rain that flushed hard lately make mosquitoes multiply. Therefore, some people complain about mosquitoes every night. In addition, Ainul as the village secretary gave directions about some programs, considering she had undergone KKN in Sidoarjo.

“We do not target large programs, but only programs that can be felt by the community and in accordance with the existing problems. The rest, maybe friends here can blend in community activities from PKK meetings, tahlilan, pengajian, to other village activities, ” she explained.

The various program plans presented by Eriyano Wempy Gilarsi, Nglajang village coordinator, covered the fields of health, environment, economy, and education. The health field focuses on dengue fever, immunization, and the introduction of diphtheria.

Meanwhile, in the environmental field there will  be reforestation of arid reservoirs, the introduction of creative economy, as well as literacy promotion through historical reading and cinema parks. “After this, we may soon coordinate with the elementary school principal (SD), advisor of kindergarten, and head of PKK,” said Syapi’i. (*)
