UNAIR NEWS – The 63rd Anniversary of Universitas Airlangga was closed with a gala dinner held at Bumi Hotel, Surabaya, on Friday, November 24. This annual event has brought UNAIR back to reaffirm commitment to top 500 world-class universities.

UNAIR Rector Prof. Moh. Nasih in his speech said that the academic community must work together to realize UNAIR plans. The competition among universities gives a challenge for UNAIR to innovate, collaborate, and transform into acknowledged university. Not only at national level, but also at international scene.

UNAIR 63 year journey could not be separated from contributions of all academic community. UNAIR has committed to builds economics and technology as well as superior civilization.

Currently, UNAIR Scopus international journal has reached 411, when in 2016 was only 200.

“This achievement is not for the rector nor by the rector, but achieved together,” said Prof. Nasih.

“Research and publication should be encouraged again to realize a comprehensive university. Achievement must be maintained and improved again in order to realize just and civilized Indonesia, ” he continued.

In the same occasion, as the Head of the 63rd anniversary of UNAIR Dies Natalis, Dr. Nurul Hartini, M. Kes., Psych said that the celebration this time was very close with the community, where the community was directly involved with the festivities of Dies Natalis UNAIR.

“Overall, this 63rd Dies Natalis ran smoothly. The participation of the academicians was quite well, “said the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology.

The Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Science UNAIR Diah Ariani Arimbi, SS, MA, Ph.D. who will be head of the committee at UNAIR Anniversary next year conveyed that next year the theme will be the same, “For Just and Civilized Indonesia”.

“FIB will cooperate with FKM to be the committee of Dies Natalis next year. We will prepare early next year, ” she concluded. (*)
