UNAIR NEWS – A proud achievement made by UNAIR Team at the International Youth Business Competition. On this occasion, the team consisted of Sulthan Fathi Nur Alauddin (FST 19), Ardelia Bertha Prastika (FK 19), Syadilla Rahmansyah (FKM 19), Intan Fairuz Zakia (FK 20) dan Bernika Citra Dwi Prasetya (FISIP 21’) managed to win the Gold Medal, Special Award and Honourable Mention.
The success cannot be separated from the creativity and innovation they presented in their work in health and tourism titled Medication: Application-Based Health and tourism Service Package to Restore the Indonesian Tourism Sector to Realize SDGs 2030.
During the interview with UNAIR NEWS on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, Sulthan Fathi Nur Alauddin as the team leader, mentioned that the idea was motivated by the high number of people affected by Covid-19 disease and other comorbid diseases which require them to undergo recovery period at the hospital.
“Therefore, to accelerate their recovery process, we created an innovation called medical vacation,” he stated.
The application created by five UNAIR students has more than eight superior features that the user could utilize, including the check-up alarm, which functions as a reminder.
“An check-up alarm could remind patients anytime to check their health when to take medicine and many more,” explained Fathi.
Furthermore, Fathi revealed that their application has advantages because it combines the health sector and tourism. According to him, not many institutions combine tourism and health facility sectors.
“The competitions that make application were minimum, and common people could access health and tourism services easily from their mobile phones with flexible and transparent packages, especially the budget transparency,” he mentioned.
At the end of the interview, Fathi hoped that their achievement could improve his motivation and evoke Ksatria Airlangga (students of Universitas Airlangga) spirits to keep competing in similar activities.
